My Story
About Me
Since early on in my life
Since early on in my life, I’ve been a curious individual, tinkering with ideas and trying new things.
Unfortunately, however, being curious and interested in lots of different things meant I also got distracted far too often, and too quickly.
I was never able focus long enough to accomplish anything meaningful.
As I grew older, I was diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed Adderall XR 30mg to help me focus and accomplish basic tasks that life required of me.
The medication worked great, but the effects were temporary and would fade away just 12 hours later.
I knew I needed a permanent solution to calm my mind, organize my thoughts and execute on projects I wanted to create.
Drugs were not the answer.
As I somehow graduated high school and made it to university, albeit just barely, I found myself woefully unprepared for the challenges that laid ahead.
Fortunately in university
Fortunately, in university I re-discovered excel after seeing it open on a colleague’s laptop.
They had a simple checklist open for what they needed to get done that week in class.
It was simple but it had a bit more formatting to it, which made it pretty and it caught my eye.
Immediately my brain started processing ideas of what I could do with excel.
Although I suck at drawing, I’ve naturally had a talent for making things neat, organized and visually pleasing.
I could create an excel sheet to track my ideas, I thought…
I could create one to track the books I’m reading.
And another to track my habits and, another to track my spending.
I instantly fell in love. The possibilities were endless.
Since then, my life took
Since then, my life took another trajectory entirely. I started creating templates to track my schoolwork, my personal life, my finances, my travels – literally everything.
I dumped my entire brain into excel workbooks and organized them into different tabs. I became more organized, and as a result, my productivity started to skyrocket.
My dependence on Adderall started to wither away and soon after I left Adderall for good.
My mental clarity came back, and I naturally started reading and learning more than I ever had before.
I’ve learned a great deal about Organization, Productivity, and Mental Success Habits.
Organization refers to how I organize ideas into meaningful, cohesive and manageable categories.
Productivity refers to how I get more done in the same or less amount of time.
Mental Success Habits refers to the mental models we use to make decisions and navigate through life.
Turns out, having great organizational skills, the right productivity techniques and foundational success habits is the perfect skillset mixture to become a good project manager – a really, really good project manager.
This website is a culmination of my journey.
After 10 years of serving as a Project Manager and making millions of dollars doing it, working remotely, and travelling the world – I decided I wanted to share the ideas, tools and concepts that have helped me achieve my results.
I never thought that
I never thought that working a 9-5 corporate job would ever pay this much, especially since I don’t hold a MBA, PMP, ITIL or any other certificate you can think of.
Yes, I did own a bachelor’s degree, but that’s it. And my GPA was nothing to brag about, either.
I truly believe that even without a bachelor’s degree, and simply with the knowledge and skills I gained on my own AFTER university (content that I’ll be making available on this site), would be sufficient to become a project manager.
I believe the content you will find here can be applied to any field, industry, or career, not just project management.
I hope you find my content beneficial and that with these tools, skills and knowledge you will feel well equipped to conquer your dreams and realize your goals.
